— Family Military Heritage
The roots of the Idrees family's military tradition reach back to the era of British India. Subadar Major Mian Hamid served with the Indian Pioneer Corps — 2 Porter Battalion, rising to the highest rank attainable by an Indian officer of his time as a senior Viceroy's Commissioned Officer.
His distinguished service was recognised with three of the most prestigious decorations of the British Indian Army — honours that reflect exceptional gallantry, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to duty.
